Guilty of Thinking

In one of the classes I teach online we have a discussion based on a time when Ann Landers turned a man into the police after he asked her for advice about his struggle with desires towards kids.

The man didn’t do anything wrong…he just wanted advice.

However, when the police showed up they found pix of kids on his PC and arrested him.

The point, however, they entered his home on the premise that he was just thinking…and had not done anything wrong.

It seems that a person now can be found guilty of thinking…wrong thoughts, impure thoughts, having desires, fantasies.monyelle-125

A convicted sex offender had his parole revoked because he admitted to having thoughts and fantasies though he had NOT acted on them.

The man volunteered his thoughts when he was asked at a hearing after he violated his parole in a different aspect.

Guilty of thinking…out loud.

I hope nobody ever asks me what I am thinking.

How about you?
