Judge Accused of Spanking Prisoners

I don’t think this is what Solomon had in mind when he wrote about ‘sparing the rod and spoiling the child…”

A judge in Mobile, Alabama is accused

of having prisoners brought into his courtroom…having them drop their britches, then spanking them.

The half dozen or so accusers may be drumming up the accusations just to get themselves out of legal trouble…but it is not known whether they all know each other or not.

One young man quoted the judge as saying, “If you had been paddled when you were a kid you wouldn’t be heading for jail now.”

That may be true…but when a person is big enough to paddle back it is too late to get out the switch.

I don’t know which is goofier, a judge who might be paddling prisoners or the creation of this kind of matter to try and get themselves out of trouble.
