Naked Carpenter Found NOT Guilty of Indecent Exposure

It was the fourth time for Berkeley police to catch Honniball (that IS his real name) working in the nude or exposing himself to mail carriers.

This time, however, the 51-year old was taken to court.

While building bookcases for a home in Oakland, the carpenter, working in the nude, was reported by a neighbor.

Court dates, defenses and prosecutions followed.

After a three-day, non-jury trial, the judge was convinced by the defense

1.  that the man ”didn’t intend to have a lewd display of his body,”

2.  that he “hadn’t acted in a lewd fashion or had any intent to gratify himself or anyone else in public,”

3.  that he was “not aware that people were looking at him,”

4.  that he was NOT GUILTY.

The man’s attorney concluded, his client “has decided that that although what he did was not illegal, it’s probably prudent to wear clothes while he works so he doesn’t face legal hassles again.”

If you ask me, there should be an age limit for showing yourself nude in public…and this guy was well passed that limit by a Chinese zodiac cycle or so.

What do you think?
