Nebraska Senator Sues God
The defendant is accused of causing untold death and horror and threatening to cause more still.
A Nebraska state senator says he is suing God, seeking a permanent injunction against the Almighty.
Good luck if he wins the suit.
The senator says the lawsuit was triggered by anger over another lawsuit he considers frivolous. The senator says he wants to make a point that anybody can file a lawsuit against anybody.
The other suit - a district judge was sued for violating a woman’s free speech rights because the judge had barred words such as ‘rape’ and ‘victim’ from a sexual assault trial.
A mistrial in the sexual assault was declared in July because pretrial publicity made it impossible to gather enough impartial jurors.
“First, shoot all the lawyers.”
