Keep Rat Poison Out of the Kitchen
One wonders what rat poison was doing in the kitchen anyway.
Still in the midst of China’s big push for safety, quality control, sanity and such, a Chinese cook, instead of flour, put rat poison in his rice dumplings.
Yup. He’s dead. And, so are six others.
While making rice dough, the chef mistook the rat poison for flour. Somehow, the poison got placed among the other condiments.
The cook, as a part-time job, also sold rat poison as a business and had put the poison in the kitchen when he moved home.
Looks like China has more work to do as people become anxious about food safety leading up to the Beijing Games.
