The Weekly Vice

Dec 31st, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

Looks like I am not the only one who thinks the stupid, Danny calls them insane, deserve some attention…if for no other reason than as I like to say, to learn what NOT to do.

From the Weekly Vice –

Ohio Man Tasered During Arrest For 13th DUI

Wisdumb = Wispid

Dec 31st, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

Wisdumb is much like Wispid – gaining wisdom from the stupid things other people do, and unfortunately the things we ourselves do…or maybe it’s just me.

Okay Wisdumb and Wispid are the same.

At any rate, I want to begin sharing again some of the Wisdumb I have acquired.

That is – sometimes the best lessons in life are learning what NOT to do.

Watch for posts about Wisdumb in the coming days.

Words of Wisdom Series

Dec 31st, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

Wispid is just 4+ months old.

So far there have been over 65,000 visitors who have turned more than 110,000 pages to read/learn about what stupid things people can do when they are drunk or thinking with the wrong part of their body.

Thanks for reading.

I’d like to present a series – Words of Wisdom – things, thoughts, insights I have gained from people I have never met. A positive twist on gaining wisdom.

I still think that some of the best lessons are learning what NOT to do, and to be sure I will still go there often. But, I hope readers will enjoy the lessons we can learn from those who went before us.

Perhaps to paraphrase Newton, “We can stand on their shoulders and see farther.”

Teenage Girls Drunken Blood Pact Goes Wrong

Dec 30th, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

Two teenage girls, 16- and 17-years old hoping to become blood sisters miscalculated how deeply to cut themselves with the knife they were using and ended up in the hospital.

In commemoration of becoming “best friends” the two, after drinking all day, told police they wanted to mix their blood.

One thing is for sure whether they remain best friends or not, they will remember the day.

Man Drinks Himself to Death During Lap Dance

Dec 29th, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

Maybe the guy was giving himself a Christmas present.

A 28-year old free spender found himself in the back room getting lap dances while drinking heavily.

After about two hours, the dancer had men move him to another room to sleep off the ‘fun.’

He never woke up.

Though checked on periodically, he was found to have no pulse and to not be breathing at one point. Calls to 911 were too late.

Woman Gets Her Underwear Cut Off in a Bar

Dec 28th, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

“Gee, wouldn’t it be fun to pin this woman down and cut her underwear off?”

“Yup, sounds like fun to me.”

“Noo!! Help!! Bartender, help!”

“Can’t do that. They will make things worse for me.”

“What about you six other guys?”

“Nope, having too much fun watching.”

Or some conversation to this effect went on when two fellows, 39- and 40-years old thought it a joke to cut off a woman’s underwear AGAINST her will.

Not funny.

The police didn’t think it was funny either.

The guys have been charged with second-degree sexual assault with a dangerous weapon.

They stuck a knife down her pants to cut off her undies.

Let’s stick a knife down these guys pants and see what can get cut off.

G-string wearing Santa charged with DUI

Dec 27th, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

A purple G-string wearing Santa was pulled over for driving drunk in Hollywood.

Santa had nothing on but the G-string, a hat, a wig, red lace camisole and black leg warmers.

Cops spotted Rudolph flying erratically.

Indeed, cops said it was NOT the real Santa Claus.

What a relief.

To think that he could’ve been found kissing mama under the Christmas tree, too.

9-year old drives drunk dad home

Dec 27th, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

A 32-year old dad trying to avoid getting his 4th DUI got it anyway when he had his 9-year old son drive him home from a Christmas Eve party.

He was also charged with Allowing an Unlicensed Minor to Operate.

When cops pulled the truck over, the boy said he followed dad’s orders on the pedals while his dad steered the truck.

The little boy’s dad is also awaiting sentencing on unrelated charges.

Good grief.

The man must now wear an alcohol monitoring tether and stay away from his son.

Far far away from his son if possible, please.

Ugly Contest – the Losers

Dec 27th, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

There’s an ugly contest going on in Shenzhen, China’s first free economic zone experiment, which sits across the river from Hong Kong.ugly.chinese.jpg

Capitalism means marketing. Marketing means doing something, anything to drum up interest.

Enter the ugly contest.

Just for registering, a person can get Y100 ($13.6). And the champion, chief ugly, will get Y10,000 = about one year’s annual income for a migrant worker.

Some say it’s a marketing trick while others say the event is capitalizing on the pain of others.

Yup, that would be capitalism at its best, wouldn’t it?

These girls…don’t have a chance of winning the ugly contest, do they?

Fat Burglar Gets Stuck in Window Trying to Escape

Dec 27th, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

So much for that cute little Asian image, tiny Asian dude mind set.

A 26-year old migrant worker told police he “could no longer bear working manual labor” so he learned how to pry open doors and windows.

He got pretty good at getting in the houses, but could not get himself back out.

He got stuck in a window trying to escape. fat.thief.jpg

When the owner of the house came home she found the tub of lard stuck in her window and called police.

The would-be thief told police, “I am too fat, otherwise you would not have caught me.”

Looks like he will be going back to forced manual labor. Perhaps if he does enough work, he’ll drop some of the hindrance to the profession he really desires.

Tennessee Injury Lawyer Looking for Clients?

Dec 26th, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

There’s a Tennessee injury lawyer looking for clients, victims of drunks and such.

I recommend s/he read Wispid.

The world is full of drunks doing stupid things that the rest of us have to deal with.

Don’t drive your video game drunk

Dec 26th, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

Scottish video game players will soon see advertisements on their virtual billboards discouraging drunk driving.

The Scottish government is paying Microsoft Xbox $20k to insert advertisements into “Need for Speed: Carbon,” “Project Gotham Racing 4″ and “NBA Live,” among others.

Non-intrusive, subtle, but clear – subliminal?

The Scotts, known for their pubs are also becoming too well-known for the number of road accidents involving the drink.

Reaching young people is a start.

Let’s hope they don’t play their games drunk or we might need to have billboards in the real world warning about that.
