A Lawyer Who Defends Those Accused of DUI

The DUI Blog….

Just came across it and haven’t waded myself through it yet.

There’s a lawyer in Southern California who says he presents the other side – the accused, the charged, the drunks.

He calls it “the steady erosion of our Constitutional rights in DUI cases, a phenomenon that has come to be known as ‘the DUI exception to the Constitution“: illegal DUI sobriety checkpoints, forceful and violent seizure of blood, no right to see a lawyer, double jeopardy, denial of the right to jury trial, presumptions of guilt, defective breath tests blindly accepted into evidence, scientific facts banned by law from the courtroom, routine violations of due process and basic fairness in trial….all because “the ends justify the means.’”

Indeed there are two sides to most stories, usually three….right, left and somewhere in the middle.

Why?

There are several hundred REAL reasons here at Wispid.

Even Mexican Beauty Queens Get Drunk – Priscila Perales

Dec 23rd, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized | no comment »

So much for beauty queens, from Mexico or otherwise being a role model for little girls.

Priscila Perales, Miss Mexico, and winner of the 200y “Miss International” contest was arrested for drunk driving.

Her blood alcohol was 0.9.

For her antics she will be fined about $1,800 (20,000 pesos), the largest fine possible in Mexico.

More importantly, she can be thankful she didn’t kill anyone or herself.

Miss Mexico was a finalist for the 2006 Miss Universe pageant.
