She had bleeding in the brain from a cerebral hemorrhage.

The funeral home of choice was called and doctors gave her about 20 minutes to live.

A prayer service and the grieving process were begun.

Car Accident Victim Dies after 5 Hospitals Refuse to Admit Him

Friday, January 4th, 2008 |

“It’s okay. We got you and we’re on our way to the hospital,” said the medic to the seriously injured man.

“I can see the hospital now.”

….

“Uh…whaa  whaa what’s wrong?”

“Don’t worry, we are going to another hospital.”

“Oooohhh….wh, why are we not…?”

“Don’t worry. We are going to another hospital.”

Rinse and repeat three more times.

“We’re here!”

“flatline…..”

A 49-year old truck driver was taken to five hospital emergency medical centers, all of which refused to accept him.

When he was finally admitted at the sixth center, it was too late, he had died from loss of blood.

“Sorry, we have two critically ill patients and our two doctors and one intern are not qualified to accept a truck accident victim,” said one center in its, um, defense.

Nurse Rapes Overdose Teen Who ‘Hated Life’

Thursday, December 13th, 2007 |

A 33-year old male nurse took a 16-year old girl in to a disabled toilet to get a urine sample.

When she fell over he raped her.

The girl, who had overdosed because she ‘hated life’ was ‘tired and drowsy’ from her treatments.

The nurse is saying that the sex was consensual.

Tired and drowsy girls who hate life, I reckon, are the ones who would go for sex with men twice their age while they are being treated in a hospital.

And this defendant has a lawyer?!

Nurse Kicks Psychiatric Patient to Death

Sunday, December 9th, 2007 |

“It’s okay, we’re on our way to the hospital. You’ll be okay!”

“NOO!! Please don’t take me to the hospital!!”

A male nurse in Japan kicked the head of a 57-year old patient, ‘inflicting bodily image resulting in death.’

“I assaulted the patient because he was disobedient,” he was quoted as telling investigators.

Now that’s surprising. Don’t most psychiatric patients fall right into line and do what they are told?

I guess we don’t want this guy looking after our senile parents, do we? Or us for that matter.

Penis Farts - Man Gets Colon and Urine Track Wired Wrong

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007 |

Heading to the hospital. Feeling like all will be well now as soon as the doctors do their thing.

WRONG!

A man had his colon stapled to his bladder instead of the rectal stump.

Sounds serious enough.

Not long after that, fecal matter in the form of diarrhea started coming out of his penis in the from of a liquid stool and urine came out his rear.

Yeah, and his penis had gas, too.

The docs said ‘these structures are very close to one another, but it shouldn’t happen.’

Really, now. It shouldn’t happen.

Who wouldn’t want to hear a penis fart?

Corpse Abuse - part 10?

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007 |

I have lost track of the number of cases of people doing it with or to a corpse.

Good golly…another category?

A NJ dude who worked at Holy Name Hospital was caught doing the deed with a 92-year old dead woman in the morgue.

Yeeeuuusshck!

A 24-year old with a dead 92-year old was.

The man told a security guard he needed to get a tissue sample to get access to the morgue.

When the guard came back he found the young fellow doing the violation….

The guy is now in jail on $400,000 bail.

Red Cross Distributes Blood Infected with Hepatitis B

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007 |

I used to give blood…about every other week when I lived in Japan…they took out the liquid part and put the blood cells back in…kinda neat, it was.

And they gave me snacks to munch on while they did it.

Glad I wasn’t in Korea giving it or needing it.

The Red Cross in Korea distributed hepatitis B-infected blood to hospitals that have resulted in at least one person becoming infected and maybe as many as four deaths.

13 packs of blood collected from five people with HBV were swapped mistakenly with blood of people negative to HBV.

What’s more…it took the agency 3 years to figure out what went wrong.

Still feel safe going to the hospital?

Classmates’ Voices Bring Comatose Victim Back

Monday, October 29th, 2007 |

Classmates of a university student in China recorded a series of messages for one of their own who went into a coma after being diagnosed with cerebrovascular disease a couple of weeks ago.

29-classmates had their message played over and over again by nurses to the patient.

After a week…the student woke up and is now recovering!

Gosh…good things do happen in hospitals.

Too Drunk to Get Medical Attention After Being Attacked by a Crocodile

Friday, October 19th, 2007 |

They are tough down under.

A 35-year old dude in Australia drank 12 cans of beer…a ‘half a slab.’

Then…he decided to go into the drink. He dove in and landed on top of an crocodile.

The croc got the best of him but left him alive and in need of about 40 stitches.

The man, too drunk to go to the hospital decided to sleep it off for about seven hours and then go.

By the time he got there he was bleeding so profusely he had to use his blanket to sop up the blood…and alcohol in his blood.

MRSA Superbug - Stay out of the hospital

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007 |

The MRSA Superbug is giving global warming a respite today. There’s something else to be afraid of…something that can kill more quickly.

MRSA is a staph infection that will infect 90,000 Americans and kill 18,000 of them this year.

Staph infections….a full one-fourth of them come as a result of being in the hospital - dirty medical equipment, the guy next to you hacking in your direction.

More than half of staph infections are related to the healthcare industry.

And you thought it was going to be okay now that the hospital has you or that the nurses were looking out for you.

Think again.
