Acquiring wisdom from the stupid things we and others do
A 2-year old boy fell off the balcony of a 7th-floor apartment building in Osaka.
His 26-year old mother was out taking a walk with another son, and the little boy’s father was at work.
The dead toddler was found by a neighbor.
The little boy was able to climb over a railing and squeeze through the bars.
We marvel at the little boy’s ability and are dumbfounded at how dumb his mother was to be found.
There was a movie, Don’t Throw Mama from the Train.
I didn’t see it, don’t want to see it. I don’t want to see the real life drama of a Hong Kong woman throwing her newborn out of the window of their apartment either. Still, a 31-year old woman (she’s definitely not a mother) was arrested on suspicion of tossing her brand spanking new baby from her apartment in Hong Kong.
The baby was lying on the ground outside the apartment…dead.
The woman has been charged with infanticide. Perhaps she should have been arrested after someone threw her out the window.
A post-mortem investigation is underway to determine the cause of death.
A 44-year old woman, her 47-year old husband and three grown children, 18-, 22-, and 24-years old lived in a town where the woman had stuffed three infants in the basement freezer.
I wonder, did the police just happen upon this house and ask, “mind if we look in your freezer in the basement to see if there are any babies frozen in there?”
Apparently there was a tip.
So far this year, police have also found a dead infant in the cellar in a town in north Germany and in another case, a 28-year old woman was charged with the death of her three infants. She shared the remains with a relative.
Thomas Beatle - absolutely assured of confusing the daylights out of the daughter that will be born in about 3 months.
Thomas is a transgender man in Oregon who got pregnant by artificial insemination.
Thomas has a wife, Nancy.
Thomas is 6-months along in the pregnancy. Apparently when Thomas had the operation 10 years ago to become a man, he/it decided to keep a few parts, like the womb, intact that was needed to carry a baby.
“Wanting to have a biological child is neither a male nor a female desire but a human desire.”
Yeah, right.
Seriously, what will the kid say to her friends?
Dad’s my mom. My mom’s my dad. My mom is my mom and my mom is my dad. My dad is my mom and so is my mom.
Drunk as a skunk, a 46-year old mother went to buy some more booze.
On the way home, she was pulled over for running a red light and barely missing other vehicles.
Not to worry, however. The woman had belted in her 24-pack of Busch beer in the passenger side of her car.
Her 16-month old toddler, however, was sitting in the back street unrestrained with her 20-year old mother.
The driver is sitting in jail waiting for someone to post $31,000 in bail.
Shouldn’t they lock the mom up, too?
An ex-student told police she freaked out after giving birth to a baby girl in the toilet of her dorm room.
She thought the baby was dead when she put it in a trash bag and dumped it. Later when the baby was found, the newborn was dead.
I can’t imagine. We just welcomed a new baby girl into our family not two days ago.
What to do in the event of freaking out to be included in future college orientation classes maybe?

The man, (the term doesn’t fit this living being) disappointed because his 4-month old child was a girl, that is, the child was NOT a boy, killed his little girl.
He was so irritated by the fact that she was not a boy that he got in the ‘habit’ of slapping her while she slept.
The infant had:
1. five new fractures on her ribs and
2. more than a dozen old fractures.
3. a hematoma and a cut on her spleen. 
4. Her liver was bruised,
5. her jaw was bruised.
The fellow called his daughter - “ugly girl, prostitute and deny (sic) she was his daughter.”
The idiot told police, “his anger and hostility towards his daughter was due to the fact that she was a girl and he had wanted a son.”
And, the mother did nothing to stop him despite the ‘more than a dozen old fractures.’
This is the kind of fellow who makes us, or is it just me, believe in the death penalty. And the mother…well, the jury is still out.
We were talking about inconceivable notions yesterday in my class at church.
Here is something that stretches inconceiveability -
A 25-year old baby sitter but a 19-month old toddler in a sleeping bag, then swung him around her head in a circle for fun like a wrecking ball, let him fly and hit a wall where the little fellow cracked his head and died.
Mom hired the baby sitter because they were neighbors.
The neighbors said the sitter looked ‘fine’ and that you could ‘trust her as a mother.’
With mothers like that…
Stupid parent award for January 7th.
A 31-year old Japanese dad kicked the 3-year old son of his common law Filipino wife, breaking the boy’s leg, then told the little boy’s6-year older brother to lie about it to the police.
“Tell them it was broken when the two of you fooled around.”
Police didn’t buy it and the man ‘fessed up.
“He didn’t take to me and when I gave him a warning he glared at me so I assaulted him,” police quoted Endo as saying.
And for not eating his dinner, the dad…..
Some people should never be allowed to be parents.
A 20-year old mother lost her 9-month old when the baby climbed into a bucket of bleach and drowned.
Mom was watching TV when her little one crawled away unnoticed.
It must have been something awfully interesting on the tube to get the mom to leave the bucket of bleach out, take her three kids in to sit and watch, and then miss one kid wandering off.
And this mom…posted a video on MySpace of her two-year old smoking and cussing.
The mom apparently was having her little one mimic something the mom had seen on TV.
Maybe, it’s just easier to take televisions away from some parents.
