Some of the best lessons I have learned in life come from people I never met.

I would like to share some of the ‘words of wisdom’ that I have picked up over the years.

General Patton said: 

If everyone is thinking alike then somebody isn’t thinking.

(Ask a room full of people if they all agree on a certain topic…you might be surprised.)

You must be single minded. Drive for the one thing on which you have decided.

(The double minded man will be tossed about the Bible says.) 

Always do more than is required of you.

(If you only do what is expected of you, you have not excelled because you only did what was required. Do more. The Bible calls this person the profitable servant.) 

If a man has done his best, what else is there?

(You just can’t do better than your best. Do your best and there will be no regrets.) 

I do not fear failure. I only fear the ‘slowing up’ of the engine inside of me which is pounding, saying, “Keep going, someone must be on top, why not you?

(I have this fear more and more these days…..)
