Pilot Disqualified for Drinking Before Flight
An All Nippon Airways pilot was grounded from flight duties for drinking alcohol 9.5 hours BEFORE a flight.
He violated in-house rules that prohibit crew members from drinking within 12 hours of a flight.
Going down with the 38-year old Airbus A320 captain were three of his superiors, including the deputy in charge of flight operations and another pilot who didn’t speak up.
The captain had a few drinks at 10pm the night before he flew four flights that started at 7:25am the next morning.
The incident came to light just last month…the actual infraction was last year in September…when an acquaintance of the captain reported the incident.
He is now…pushing papers.
