Chicken Flu Stopped?

Are we getting closer to curing flue outbreaks?  Can the flu spread from chickens be stopped?  British researchers have found that inserting an artificial gene into chickens stop the flu virus from replicating.  The chickens can get infected, but it will not be enough to be contagious to other chickens.  Not only chickens but other fowl have been known to spread the flu virus that ignite into human outbreaks.

Although genetically modified chickens can help prevent a major human health threat, there are government agencies, consumers, and more testing to make sure there are no other hazards.  If these concerns can be cleared, both private and commercial breeders can benefit.  That is, to make sure nothing weird will occur genetically to future chickens or humans.
