$5 Extra to See Nude Girls
Texas wants to impose a $5 surcharge on strip clubs.
The money is expected to raise $40 million to be used for sexual assault prevention programs and health care for the uninsured.
What’s $40 million divided by 5? That’s how many times people visit nude dance clubs…in just Texas.
The nude dance club owners are balking –
“…the measure unfairly targets strip clubs, while not including modeling studios and adult video arcades. Strip club owners have said that the fee unfairly links their customers to rape.”
Okay, then let’s add a $5 surcharge on all those places.
