Attack of the Cute Little Monkeys

When I was India I pointed out to some friends some cute little monkeys running around.

“Their thieves. And pests. We hate them here.”

A New Delhi Deputy Mayor might add that they are killers, too…but he is dead.

The monkeys will have to speak for themselves.

A gang of Reeses Pieces, Rhesus macaques attacked the mayor and he died of head injuries.

The monkeys occasionally bite or steal food from passers by.

The problem – Hindus believe monkeys are manifestations of the monkey god Hanuman.

So, they feed them bananas and peanuts thus encouraging them to hang out in public places.

Guess who’s making a monkey out of whom?
