Brain Dead amidst Funeral Plans, Mom Wakes Up

She had bleeding in the brain from a cerebral hemorrhage.

Her airway tube was removed.

For 2.5 days, they held her hand, said prayers and good-byes.

The funeral home of choice was called and doctors gave her about 20 minutes to live.

A prayer service and the grieving process were begun.

A weekend later, and the woman was still hanging on.

Some ice cubes to the lips for comfort, whispers of “mom, are you in there?” were answered with a shake of the head and a “yes.”

An operation to drain the blood and mom is on her way home to recover.

The woman said her recovery was the result of prayer.

It must have been her own because her kids were already dividing up the inheritance.

The hospital and doctors? What were they thinking?

They had better believe in prayers, because they are going to be needing them after/when the lawyers show up.
