Buddhist Priest Embezzles Y150 million

A former Buddhist priest was arrested for embezzling Y150 million ($1.4 millon) from the headquarters of the Jodo Shu sect in Kyoto.

The 52-year old took money from the bank account on about 30 occasions between Jan. 03 and Sept 04.

The former priest was in charge of the treasury and used the money to invest in futures.

Judas would be proud.
