Drug Money and Cold Cash
A 65-year old woman and her 55-year old husband found $12,000 in the refrigerator when they were cleaning it.
Now, THAT is a good reason for anybody to clean out the fridge, eh?
You don’t know what you might find in there.
Turns out that the previous tenants were drug traffickers. Cops busted in, found crack cocaine, marijuana and other paraphernalia as well as $1,100 on one of the defendants.
But, nobody thought to look in the ice box, until the new tenants moved in.
Yeah, and just like anywhere else, the landlord did a lousy job of cleaning up the place before the new guys moved in.
I reckon landlords everywhere who read this will start cleaning up the place more thoroughly before the new guys move in. Or, at least they’ll look around more.
Um, does anybody wonder why the people called this discovery in?
Cops are saying if the money did belong to the drug dealers, it’ll belong to the taxpayers. Meaning, it get throws into a pot somewhere and forgotten that it’s in its new location.
