Franklin Roosevelt – Words of Wisdom

Some of the best lessons I have learned in life come from people I never met.

I would like to share some of the ‘words of wisdom’ that I have picked up over the years.

Franklin Roosevelt said: 

When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.

(I have never been to the end of my rope, but I know what to do when/if I get there. Sometimes the difference is just not giving up.) 

We, and all others who believe in freedom as deeply as we do, would rather die on our feet than live on our knees.fdr.jpg

(Freedom is not usually free, is it?) 

More than an end to war, we want an end to the beginnings of all wars.

(Our current administration should have taken this to heart about 6 years ago.
