Hospital Gives Man Vodka Drip-feed

When an Australian hospital ran out of the medical alcohol (do they have that sort of thing?) that it needed doctors fed an Italian tourist with a vodka drip-feed.

The tourist had ingested antifreeze and the treatment in such a case is pure alcohol.

However, when the hospital ran out (does anybody wonder why?)  the hospital stuck a tube through his nose and into his stomach and gave him vodka.

Doesn’t sound like much fun to me.

The man received three standard drinks an hour for three days in the IC unit…and recovered from his attempt at ‘self harm.’

Meanwhile…drunkards everywhere are looking for antifreeze.
