Indian man becomes father for first time at 94

An Indian man, Ramajit Ragha, recently set a new record of becoming a father for the first time at the age of 94. This is a new record to hold the oldest known father in the country.

Before Ragha, in the year 2007, a man became a father of his 22nd child at the age of 90. Ragha was a wrestler in his young age and says that all the credit goes to his high calorie diet and hopes to live another one decade.

Ragha while talking to the press said that his diet comprises of three litres of milk, half kilo of almonds and half kilo ghee. The 94 year old father is a resident of Kharkhoda in the state of Haryana and has worked as a labourer for 22 years for his landlords.

Ragha and his wife Shakuntala have got a baby boy and have named him Karamjit which means ‘gift from God’. Dr. Paramjeet Singh, the chief medical officer at Kharkhoda village Civil hospital said that the baby was born through a normal delivery and is quite healthy. Singh added that having a baby at such an age is a remote possibility but said that just one sperm is enough to fertilize and egg.
