Indian schoolgirl raped by friends during trip to Rishikesh

A 16-year-old Indian schoolgirl was raped allegedly by a group of minor boys from her school after taking her to Rishikesh, police said on Tuesday.
A case of rape was registered at Badarpur police station recently after the victim’s family approached them.

The shocking case was reported from Badarpur in South-East Delhi. The police in Rishikesh had informed the parents of the victim about the incident.

All the accused are minors, a senior police official said, adding they were “friends” of the victim and studied in the same school in Badarpur.
Police are investigating whether the boys forcibly took her to Rishikesh.
