Martin Luther King Jr. – Words of Wisdom
On the third Monday in January…making January the 15th, the earliest it can happen, schools, federal offices, post offices and banks across the nation celebrate Martin Luther King Jr‘s birthday.
Here are a few of my favorite Martin Luther King Jr words of wisdom.
“If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, “Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.”
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
“Nothing pains some people more than having to think.”
What words did he speak that have inspired you?
