Mom Abandons Baby at Fire Station

Orlando needs a Drop Box For Unwanted Babies like they have in Japan.

A 17-year old mother, not knowing where else to go, abandoned her 8-month old baby at an Orange Country fire station at 4:22am saying she could no longer care for the baby because she herself was homeless.

Detectives were able to track her down.

Florida law allows parents to leave a child who is 3-days old or less at a hospital, fire station or emergency medical station and remain anonymous and NOT face abandonment charges…but not at 8-months.

Children having children…of course, she, the mom, doesn’t know what to do.

A worse offense would be giving the baby back to her. No?
